I was raised a Christian, but my life has most definitely changed. I've always had good morals, knowing what's right and what's not. I was always careful in doing things even though I spent 6 years in a boarding school.
Boarding school was a long time ago now. But lately the Lord is teaching me to trust in Him (not in my parents like I did when I was younger, nor in my friends). He is allowing me to see myself as an individual. It's hard, I'm going through a lot of pressure in my mind, yet the Lord is teaching me to trust Him and to have faith in Him alone. He has promised be good, and I believe with my heart that I will see it bc He is not a liar - Num 23:11. I blindly believe that God cannot lie.
Even if my desires don't get fulfilled, I have regrets etc all that does not and cannot make God a liar or mean. He is good, period. Life's experiences and opinions cannot change who God is, this truth is not relative but absolute! Praise the Lord!!

I was born in a Christian family. God, in the beginning, was just a tradition. My parents did it- I did it. That was before the reality of God set in and my relationship with Him truly began.

In recent years, the "rock" aspect of God has become very real. He has brought order to my shifty world. I can always retrace my steps back to the Rock, the foundation, when an idea of mine turns out for the worse. Its good to have somewhere to stand while the rest of the world is forever swirling in tornadoes.

My life over the years has changed with knowing the difference between knowing God and having a relationship with him. I can now pray to him directly and know he can deliver me from anything. He has saved me from drugs and alcohol and has given me another chance to start all over. In Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I've since been baptized and am serving in several ministries, to God be all the Glory, if it wasn't for him I would not be here today, thanks be to God.

I am very thankful to have been born to GOD FEARING parents. If I ever have problems I have 2 wonderful people to help me. Thank God for having two earthly parents to push me in the right way and to explain things to me that was not clear.
They know the scripture and know mercy more than I do. My parents have definelty made my walk with Jesus an enjoyable one and I know how many people can say they grew up with both parents who believe? I am truly lucky and thankful.

Hi Nick,

It does sound like Satan keeps trying to push you away from God. At this point, you must continue to seek God no matter how hard Satan tries to push you away. Sometimes these types of situations happen so that we can draw closer to God or gain perseverance. There's an article on the main site that can discuss this in more detail: Why Does God Allow Pain and Suffering?

God bless,

read the posted question above. I found Jesus later in life. Then I backslid and every time that I repent for really bad sins, things in my life get terribly worse. Someone told me that it's the devil doing to keep me away fron God. If I'm trying to be a Chritian, why wouldn't God keep this from happening again and again? Please help to understand this. It's driving me nuts.
